Beatrice Leon Biography

Beatrice Leon (she/her/hers) is an accomplished Information Technology professional with over 30 years of corporate experience, including a C-Suite level position.

 

As Chief Information Officer of a global wines and spirits corporation, Beatrice managed large teams across the Americas and played an integral role in directing the IT intricacies during company mergers and acquisitions.

She is known as an insightful, fair leader, capable of making tough decisions. Colleagues past and present credit her ability to lead with vision, creativity, and strength while bringing out the best in her teams. Multicultural by nature – Beatrice speaks English and French – she also excels in understanding and navigating different “business cultures” within the same company.

Throughout her entire career, Beatrice has been mentoring and coaching colleagues and professionals. Most recently, from 2007-2013 she supplemented her corporate work with voluntary career coaching of Columbia University students in the Masters of Information Technology program. During this tenure she coached Senior level IT employees to prepare for their next move as VP of IT or as CIO. Beatrice is currently involved in a non-profit organization coaching young people from underserved communities to help them jobs in the corporate world.

In July 2014 Beatrice successfully completed the Columbia University Coaching Certificate Program at Columbia University in New York.

Beatrice coaches individuals at all levels of their careers, and specializes in several areas:

  • Coaching motivated clients at the Manager, Director, and Executive level to identify and realize their career goals.

  • Guiding clients through the process of developing and strengthening necessary skills to advance and achieve growth.

  • Providing technically-minded executives with coaching to support performance in senior managerial roles.
