Confidentiality Policy

Confidentiality is foundational to effective coaching and advisory work.

This page provides an overview of how confidentiality is handled. Full details are outlined in Statements of Work, Vendor Agreements, or other contracts.

I adhere to the Code of Ethics of the International Coaching Federation. A link to that Code of Ethics is provided for your reference.

Professional Standards

Coaching Conversations

The coachee has sole discretion over whether and how to share information from the coaching process, including feedback, assessments, and the content of conversations, in alignment with any sponsoring organization.

The coachee may also choose whether to disclose that they are working with a coach. I will not identify myself as a coachee’s coach to anyone outside the engagement without permission, except where appropriate and agreed upon for specific purposes (such as gathering context or feedback).

Exceptions

If I become aware of a situation involving potential harm to the coachee or others, I may be ethically obligated to take steps to prevent that harm, even if it requires breaking confidentiality.

Organizational Information

Proprietary, strategic, and confidential information related to the coachee’s or sponsor’s organization is treated with the highest level of discretion.

Agreements

At the request of the client or sponsoring organization, a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) may be executed.
